The AIB Sustainability Conferences 2025 highlighted how shared goals are turning into real action. Eastgate had the great opportunity this year to participate in both the AIB Regional Sustainability Conference in Waterford on 10th October 2025 and the national AIB Sustainability Conference held on 27th November 2025 at the RDS, Dublin. Across both events, the theme of “Where our shared ambition meets action” was clear.
The Waterford regional event brought together local businesses that are prioritising sustainable practices. Our CEO, David Brennan, took part in a panel discussion where he spoke about Eastgate’s journey through sustainability, highlighting the challenges we’ve faced, and the progress that we have made and continue to make. David shared insights on the growing importance of renewable energy and how it can be further implemented in Ireland.

In Waterford the collective desire among businesses to make sustainability not just a target, but a daily operational priority was extremely powerful. Listening to local entrepreneurs discuss their own transitions, whether through energy upgrades or process optimisation, innovation is happening at every level of Irish enterprise.
The 9th annual AIB Sustainability Conference at the RDS brought the conversation to an even broader stage. Eastgate was delighted to attend and exhibit at the event, again being able to showcase our contribution to sustainability.
David also took part in a live broadcast interview during the RDS event, sharing Eastgate’s journey and involvement in the renewable energy sector, the importance of thorough planning for long-term sustainability and the potential that Ireland has to open more opportunities in the sector.
Throughout the day, we had the opportunity to hear from inspiring speakers across multiple industries, each offering a unique perspective on the road to sustainability. It was eye-opening to see how many Irish businesses are embracing sustainability not just as a responsibility, but as a strategic advantage.
Both the Waterford and Dublin events highlight why gatherings like the AIB Sustainability Conferences are so important. They offer space to learn, to connect, and to share strategies that are shaping a greener future in Ireland.
