Eastgate Engineering was proud to exhibit at this year’s HyNet Supply Chain Summit, organised by NOF, and to support the event as a Diamond Sponsor. Bringing together businesses from across the carbon capture, hydrogen, energy and industrial sectors, the summit created a valuable platform for discussing the opportunities and challenges shaping the UK’s energy transition.
With major investment being directed towards carbon capture and storage (CCS), hydrogen production and wider decarbonisation projects, the event highlighted the scale of opportunity emerging across the UK supply chain. As one of the country’s leading industrial decarbonisation clusters, HyNet is helping to drive this transformation by connecting industry, energy infrastructure and carbon capture technologies to reduce emissions from some of the UK’s most energy-intensive sectors.
For Eastgate, the summit provided an opportunity to engage with industry leaders, project developers and supply chain partners while showcasing the engineering expertise we bring to complex energy and infrastructure projects. Throughout the event, our team met with organisations involved in both current and future low-carbon developments, discussing how collaboration and technical capability will be essential in delivering the projects needed to support a net zero future.

One project that demonstrates this capability is the Lostock Sustainable Energy Plant, where Eastgate is delivering the Electrical and Instrumentation scope. While Lostock is an Energy-from-Waste development, projects such as this illustrate how the engineering expertise required for major energy infrastructure can be applied across emerging technologies, including carbon capture and low-carbon energy systems. As more projects move from planning into construction and operation, these transferable skills will be vital in helping the industry scale effectively.
