What a day! Last weekend, five of our brilliant colleagues took on the Great North Run, joining 60,000 runners on the streets of Newcastle and raising an amazing £2,133 for Miles4Men.
Huge congratulations to Michael Taylor, Mathew Leeming, Claire Maith, Gail Walsh, and Maria Turkiewicz, who each smashed the 13.1 miles with determination, energy, and plenty of smiles.
Anyone who’s been to the Great North Run will know it’s not just a race, it’s a celebration. The Tyne Bridge, the music, and the thousands of supporters cheering every step made it an unforgettable day.
As Mathew put it:
“Wi Ei Man what a day!!! The Geordies know how to line the streets and make noise, let me tell you that. Such a great day, amazing atmosphere and great people all for a good cause. Will definitely do it again. Much faster next time!!”
Claire shared her thoughts, too:
“Such an amazing day to be amongst 60,000 runners in the heart of the North East raising some money for great causes and achieving personal goals!”
This year, our team chose to run for Miles4Men, a fantastic charity that supports individuals and families affected by cancer. It’s a cause close to many of us, and knowing that our fundraising efforts would make a real difference kept everyone going when the going got tough.
We couldn’t be prouder of Michael, Mathew, Claire, Gail, and Maria for taking on such a huge challenge and for doing it together.
And of course, a massive thank you to everyone who donated, supported, and cheered us on. Your generosity helped us raise £2,133 for a truly special cause.
