Last week, Eastgate Engineering had the privilege of participating in European Maritime Day 2025, held in the vibrant city of Cork. Representing our team was CEO David Brennan, who joined industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to explore Ireland’s offshore energy future.
David joined the Cork Harbour boat tour, hosted by the Port of Cork Company Ltd. and the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications, contributing to conversations around the infrastructure, investment, and skilled talent needed to unlock Ireland’s offshore renewable energy potential.
With its world-class deep-water harbour and ambitious national targets, Ireland is well-positioned to lead in offshore wind. Realising that potential will take collaboration across industry, government, and local communities—exactly what events like this are designed to foster.
