Eastgate Engineering is pleased to announce the appointment of David Basford as Head of Commercial.
David joins Eastgate with extensive experience in commercial and cost management, having built a successful career across a variety of engineering and construction environments. Throughout his career, he has developed a strong track record of supporting project delivery, managing commercial performance and helping organisations achieve their strategic objectives through effective commercial leadership.
As Eastgate continues to expand its presence across sectors including Offshore Wind, Power & Renewables, Industrial & Manufacturing, Mining, and Oil, Gas & Chemicals, David’s appointment marks another important step in strengthening the business and supporting its long-term growth ambitions. His knowledge, expertise and leadership will play a key role in further developing the commercial function and ensuring Eastgate remains well-positioned to support customers on complex engineering projects across the UK.
Commercial management is a critical component of successful project delivery, helping to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, collaboratively and with a clear focus on achieving the best possible outcomes for both clients and stakeholders. David brings a wealth of experience in this area, along with a practical understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing today’s engineering and construction sectors.
