Cycle for Leon
This September, we’re coming together to honour the life of a much-loved colleague and friend through our “Cycle for Leon”.
Taking place on Friday 4th September, this 5-mile coastal charity bike ride will raise funds for the Irish Hospice Foundation, a cause that meant a great deal to Leon and one he supported through previous fundraising efforts.
In Memory of Leon
Leon was a huge presence in the very best sense. Known for his warmth, honesty, and sense of humour, he had a natural ability to bring people together, regardless of role or background. He made time for everyone, and his impact is still felt by all who knew him.
Cycle for Leon is about continuing that, creating a space where people can come together, connect, and remember Leon in a way that reflects who he was.

Route: Redcar Majuba Road to Saltburn Beach
Distance: 5-mile coastal ride (approximately 30 minutes)
Charity: Irish Hospice Foundation
Get Involved
This event is open to everyone , you don’t need to be a regular cyclist to take part. Whether you want to ride, support along the route, or simply join us at the finish line, your presence will make a difference.
For those who don’t have access to a bike, rental options can be arranged, ensuring that as many people as possible can take part.

The Irish Hospice Foundation provides vital services supporting people at end of life and their families, making a meaningful difference during some of life’s most difficult moments. Supporting this cause is a fitting tribute to Leon as he was involved in many charity cycles and events for the foundation.
