Senior Authorised Person

Duties:

• Reviewing risk assessments, issuing safety permits, and controlling the site’s electrical safety rules.
• Preparing, delegating, and executing switching plans to safely isolate electrical faults or sections of the grid.
• Leading system checks, fault finding, and testing of HV/LV assets.
• Providing hands-on supervision and technical guidance to junior operators and technicians.
• Implementation of the clients Electrical Safety Rules on site, including the safe system of Work.
• Oversee safe commissioning of grid connections, onshore substations and associated MV/HV/LV plant and equipment.
• Oversee all MV/HV/LV electrical operational activities to ensure safety, security and integrity of the HV network.
• Contribute to proactive management, good coordination and communication between all parties and that the process works effectively.
• Coordinate MV/HV/LV commissioning activities through the project construction Stages.
• Oversee all MV/HV/LV electrical operational activities to ensure safety, security and integrity of the HV network.
• Oversee and the delegation of planning of all switching activities on sites, both offshore and onshore activities.
• Controlling the safety documents for the Electrical Safety Rules on site.
• Define safety procedures for electrical matters.
• Delegation of tasks to the Operators on sites, who oversee safe commissioning of grid connections, onshore substations and associated MV/HV/LV plant and equipment.
• Reviewing the high voltage scope of work.
• Knowledge and experience with country specific standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Several years of operation and commissioning experience within the field of high voltage electricity, offshore experience preferable.
• Appropriate electrical qualification and background related to the authorization scope.
• Previous experience on Off-Shore Wind essential

Must have all current and valid off-shore certification including GWO
